I’m a 19-year-old currently living and working in Mauritius. While observing the local market here, I identified a strong opportunity: AI adoption is still at a very early stage. Most local businesses—especially restaurants and small shops—do not have AI-powered websites, AI agents, or even basic awareness of how AI can help them grow.
Mauritius is a tourism-driven country, with a high volume of international visitors. However, many local businesses are not leveraging digital tools to attract and serve these tourists effectively.
My idea is to build AI-powered websites and simple AI solutions (like chat assistants, automated customer responses, and smart booking systems) specifically tailored for local businesses. These solutions would help them:
Attract more tourists online
Improve customer experience
Increase bookings and sales
